Great Bay Custom Graphite Fly Rods

Great Bay offers a full range of graphite fly rods to take on every challenge of the waters you fish, from the smallest of to saltwater.  As with all Great Bay rods, these feature tapers developed and owned by Great Bay using blanks made in the USA along with REC components. For those that enjoy a specialty or niche style of fly fishing, such as kayaking or large fish in the estuary waters,  we can help you create a special purpose rod to match you requirements.

 

The Winding Brook Fly Rod Series

This fly rod is in a class by itself as both a small stream fly rod and a surprisingly versatile all around fly rod.  The perfect choice for accuracy, presentation and power. Available in 2wt. through 6wt. and in 6ft though 7ft. 6in. lengths.  This 4 pc. fly rod features a highly figured hardwood reel seat with other options available upon request.  This may just be the finest small graphite fly rod that you can own.

The EMG Classic and EMG Cz Fly Rod Series

This fly rod is available as both a classic mid-flex medium fast action fly rod that is suited to all skill levels and a delight to cast.  This 9ft. 4 pc. rod is available in weights 2wt. through 8.  This series also includes our new Cz rod series designed in conjunction with Ian Colin James.  The Cz fly rod is an 11 ft. 4 pc. fly rod available in weights 4 through 6.  This is also a top rod for Loch style fly fishing.

The MSR Classic Fast Action Fly Rod Series

The MSR is a classic true to weight fast action fly rod for the more advanced fly angler. Whilst delivering a tip flex fast action, this rod will not overpower the fly angler and offers exceptional performance.  Available in 8ft., 8ft. 6 in. and  9ft. models in weights 2. through 8.  Features include a beautiful amboyna wood uplocking reel seat with other custom options available upon request.
